The Immigration Canada website has a very useful tool to help you determine in 5 minutes or less if you are able to meet the minimum eligible criteria to apply to a Skilled Worker visa. The tool is called “Immigrating as a worker: am I eligible?” and you can use this link to use it: Immigration Canada.
Although the results are not definitive (an immigration officer must take a look at your paperwork first!), I think this tool is the best first step in your Canada immigration process!
If everything seems to be OK, you can just go ahead and start the process at your closest Canada embassy. Or, if you prefer, you can check the list of Canada immigration consultants.
Do you prefer Quebec?
If you prefer to speak French or you just want to move to the “Belle Province” for some other reason, they have their own online evaluation tool. You can check it here: Immigration Québec. Évaluation préliminaire d’immigration.

An easy step and yet so many people skip it for some reason!

If I’d work at CIC I’d be really preoccupied about this.
